Touchscreen MacBook Pro Wallpaper Comes to Older Macs: How to Use It
Apple's touchscreen MacBook Pro model with an OLED display was recently introduced with new wallpapers. Apple is now offering this wallpaper to older Mac users as well. Here is how to download and use it.
The wallpaper of the OLED and touchscreen MacBook Pro can now be downloaded and used by older Mac users as well.
Apple's first touchscreen MacBook model in history was officially introduced at an event held last week. The new MacBook brought back the old Apple logo while introducing a new design form factor. In addition, Apple made the wallpaper of the touchscreen MacBook Pro with an OLED screen publicly available so that older Mac users can experience it too.
How to download or use the OLED MacBook Pro wallpaper?
With the macOS 27.3 beta 1 update offered to developers, Apple included the wallpaper of the new MacBook Pro model with a touchscreen and PROLED XDR panel into the system as a dynamic screensaver. With the latest beta update, applying the new wallpaper directly to devices via Mac settings became possible.
Apple continued its approach of integrating the product name into background images in this device as well. The image features the word "PRO", formed by fluid and metallic lines.
Metallic Lines and Slowed Light Motion: Pro Light
The screensaver named "Pro Light" in the macOS 27.3 beta version makes the static wallpaper dynamic. During the animation, light moves slowly along metallic lines.
Certain parts of the Pro text are illuminated in sequence with this movement, while other parts remain dark. Visually, it delivers a clean impression.
The version within the operating system functions with a special slow-motion effect that slows down the flow of light lines compared to standard videos.
Instead of downloading the new Mac wallpaper, you can use it directly from settings with macOS 27.3 Beta, expected to be available later this month. I am using the beta version and selected and applied the wallpaper from settings within seconds.
