Display and Battery

Both models feature a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 825 nits brightness. The display resolution is specified as HD+, meaning it is not Full HD.

The 7,500 mAh battery in the devices supports 45 W wired charging. It also features 22.5 W reverse wired charging. This feature allows you to use the phone to charge an accessory.

Processor and Memory

• Redmi 17: MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor
• Redmi 17 5G: Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor
• Memory options: 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM
• Storage options: 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 2.2

This is the main processor difference between the two models. The Redmi 17 5G comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, which supports 5G connectivity. The Redmi 17, on the other hand, runs on the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra. The 5G support on the Redmi 17 5G is the defining feature of the lineup for users who need 5G connectivity.

Camera

On the back, there is a 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera with an f/1.8 aperture alongside a standard auxiliary camera. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the side of the devices.

How Does This Affect You?

For users seeking long battery life, the 7,500 mAh battery and 45 W charging support stand out as features that can reduce the need for charging during daily use. However, the HD+ LCD display might be a limitation for those looking for a Full HD screen. Furthermore, 5G support is only available on the Redmi 17 5G. When making a purchase decision, you should weigh your 5G requirement alongside the 1,000 TL price difference.
