BYD, one of the fastest-growing companies in the electric vehicle market, introduced the second-generation BYD Seal 07 model with fast-charging technology and announced its price.
Coming with BEV and PHEV powertrain options, the vehicle includes the God's Eye driving assistance system, which provides steering support on urban roads and highways, and flash charging technology.
First generation was introduced in March 2026
BYD released the updated version of the first-generation Seal 07 in early March 2026. However, the model failed to gain expected sales momentum.

According to China EV DataTracker data, BYD delivered only 8,017 units of the Seal 07 to customers in China between January and September 2026. The world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer responded by launching the completely redesigned second-generation sedan about eight months later.

Design and dimensions
The new Seal 07 adopts BYD's current design language named "Ocean Aesthetics 2.0". Stylistically, the model stands close to the previously introduced Seal 08 flagship model. Slim daytime running lights, a closed front fascia, headlights integrated into the front bumper, and a full-width rear light bar are among the examples of this resemblance. The roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is part of the God's Eye B driving assistance system and supports the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) feature.

The vehicle measures 5,080 / 1,960 / 1,495 mm with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. With these dimensions, it is 20 mm longer than the global market BMW 5 Series (G60). The vehicle is offered in six exterior colors: green, pink, purple, silver, white, and black. The electric version has a trunk capacity of 618 liters and a front trunk of 160 liters. The PHEV version offers a trunk capacity of 595 liters.

Interior design and equipment
The cabin of the second-generation Seal 07 follows the layout found in most BYD models. The dashboard features a 15.6-inch portrait screen, a head-up display (HUD), and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster. The gear lever is located behind the three-spoke D-shaped steering wheel. The center console includes a 50 W wireless phone charger and a physical button block.

One of the model's notable features is Diva, introduced as a "smart companion." Capable of performing multiple functions, this smartwatch-like device can also display various "cute expressions." The cabin also features four integrated magnetic mounting points, allowing rear passengers to place tablets behind the front seats.
Standard equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with a high-temperature sterilization mode, a glass roof, acoustic glass, a power tailgate, and hands-free in-car karaoke.

The top trim level features zero-gravity front seats and a massage function. The rear seats are heated and ventilated. This version also includes 20 speakers and a built-in refrigerator.
Performance and battery
The BEV version comes with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. Maximum power is 245 kW (329 hp). The vehicle reaches 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. The key feature of the model is the 76.7 kWh Blade 2.0 LFP battery. This battery offers a range of 775 km under CLTC conditions (636 km under WLTP). Energy consumption is 9.8 kWh per 100 km. The battery supports flash charging and can charge from 10 percent to 97 percent in nine minutes.
In the Seal 07 DM-i version, a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 115 kW (154 hp) combines with a front-mounted electric motor producing 160 kW (215 hp). 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 7.7 seconds. The 38 kWh battery offers an electric range of 330 km according to CLTC (271 km according to WLTP).

The suspension system uses a double-wishbone setup at the front and a five-link setup at the rear. Lower trims feature the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system, while higher trims offer the DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological system. This suspension was previously available only on Denza and Fang Cheng Bao models.
