Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max Heading to Turkey: Global Launch Announced
Xiaomi's flagship models, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, are set to arrive in Turkey.
Xiaomi, which offers high-end models in the smartphone market, is officially bringing its flagship models selling millions in China to global markets. The global launch date for Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has been announced.
According to a post by Xiaomi, the global versions of Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, which will also enter the Turkey market, will be officially introduced this month. Both models were previously launched in China.
What are the prices?
Last week, an Italy-based retailer listed the Xiaomi 18 Pro with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage at 1,398 euros, and the 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage version at 1,591 euros. Prices for the 18 Pro Max with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage range between 1,760 and 1,783 euros. These prices are based on pre-launch listings, and the exact retail price will be confirmed at the official announcement.
What is different in the global version?
Devices prepared for the global market will be available in black, white, and a dark red option named "Velvet Red". Reports indicate battery capacities are reduced in versions outside China. The battery of the 18 Pro will be 6,000 mAh instead of 7,000 mAh in China. The 18 Pro Max will feature a 7,050 mAh battery instead of 8,500 mAh.
| Model | China version battery | Global version battery |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi 18 Pro | 7,000 mAh | 6,000 mAh |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro Max | 8,500 mAh | 7,050 mAh |
What does this mean for users?
The reduction in battery capacities may offer less convenience in battery life compared to the Chinese models, especially for heavy users. The source does not specify whether there are other hardware differences such as processor, display, or camera in global versions; details on this matter will become clear after the launch.
There is no official pricing in Turkey for either phone yet, but estimates indicate prices could easily exceed 100,000 TRY.
