The user, who said they opened and closed the device fewer than 20 times during this period, explained that they felt a protrusion under the hinge area while showing the phone to a friend. They explained that when they continued the opening motion, a cracking sound was heard and the screen broke along the fold line.

Complaints are growing

Screen damage reports were not limited to devices in personal use. It was alleged that similar hinge damage occurred on the screens of display units showcased in some retail stores.
